ANDY PETTITTE!
Andy Pettitte signed a minor league contract with the Yankees worth $2.5 million this past week. YES! I was one of those who wish Andy never left and now he’s running back (I completely disregard his time with Houston, where he followed he who must not be named (Clemens)). I believe the plan is to get Pettitte back into major league shape where he may or may not join the rotation. For the first time ever the Yankees rotation actually has options with C.C. Sabathia, Hiroki Kuroda, Phil Hughes, Freddy Garcia, Ivan Nova, Michael Pineda and now Pettitte. Obviously it’s a 5-man rotation so I’m assuming the starting five will be:
- Sabathia
- Nova
- Kuroda
- Pineda
- Garcia
In other news, Robinson Cano got hid on the hand yesterday and had to leave the game but thakfully his x-rays came out negative so he should hopefully be ready to rumble come Opening Day.
I couldn’t be more excited for the season to start and for the Yankees to start making headlines, for better or worse again. Love staying up till midnight to watch Baseball Tonight on ESPN!
